Twelve years building visual languages for brands that want to last. I work across identity, type, editorial and interface — not because I can't specialise, but because the best work lives in the space between disciplines.
Before going independent I led design at Bureau Grotesque in Copenhagen and was senior art director at The Gourmand in London. I hold an MA in Communication Design from the RCA.

Magazine, book and catalogue design. From concept through to press-ready PDFs. Long-form reading as craft.
Bespoke type selection, pairing strategy, and custom lettering for brands that need a voice only they can own.
UI design, design systems and component libraries. Pixel-perfect handoff for development teams that care.
Photography, illustration and motion art direction. Translating brand intent into images that stop the scroll.
Exhibition graphics, wayfinding and environmental design. The brand extended into three dimensions.
Elliot has a rare gift for distilling something complex into a mark you feel immediately. The Forma identity has aged three years perfectly.
Working with Elliot felt like collaborating with someone who had already read the brief we hadn't written yet. Precise, patient and profoundly tasteful.
The type system Elliot built for Meridian became the backbone of our entire visual output. It has done more for our brand recognition than anything else we've made.
